The Four Noble Truths

1. All existance is suffering or unhappiness (dukkha.) All life is suffering, and birth, old age, sickness, death er suffering, as are lamentation, anguish and despair, contact with unpleasantess, and not acheiving ones desires. All are dukkha, suffering.

2. The cause of suffering is desire or attachment to life and everything associated with life. The desire is called tanha.

3. Suffering can be escaped by eliminating al selfish cravings and desire, by a total rejection of life and existance.

4. The way to attain non-desire or cessation of existance is by folowing the Middle Pasth, avoiding both over indulgence and asceticism.
